Prose/Poetry

Walking down this road, will it ever end? Positivity & happiness doesn't help,  will this madness ever end?  How much more can I take? I'm pushing forward to the end, but it doesn't feel that I'm doing enough.  I'm trying to make it for everyone, but will they even care if I make at this point?  This road is bumpy, but I won't let it break me.  I won't give up on this fight, gotta stay strong Can't let everyone down, but how much fight do I have in me left?  I see the end, one more push! I  know I can make it I gotta make it, I will make it.  Nothing can stand in my way, all this doubt isn't me! Shake off all this negativity & fear I made it, but there's still so much to go still

"Ornament" and the Sources of Design in the Decorative Arts."

Although this was a difficult read, it was a good one. Ivins talks about ornaments and craftsmen. He brings it to light how the craftsmanship and skill is just as important as to music and composers. he compares both amazingly, my favorite part when he says "The sounds produced by the performer at the piano correspond to the articles produced by the craftsman, while the musical score, the creation of which demands truest invention and greatest constructive imagination, passes from hand to hand in printed or written form just as the engraved and drawn designs for craftsmen did in former years prior to the invention of photographic process reproduction." I feel it's true in every sense, cause I'm sure when a composer takes him time with a musical piece and really give it his or her all he wants it played to the very best of it ability that he's imagined it.      I feel like he wants future makers and craftsman to know their craf...

Labels Help You Organize All blog posts must be labeled with two keywords, which blogger calls Labels. When faculty visits your blog for evaluation purposes, we will use the labels to quickly find your work. If you do not use the keywords properly, we will not be able to find your work.  Proper set-up and maintenance of your blog falls under the Research and Participation part of your grade which counts for 30% of the overall semester grade.  Topical Keywords The first set of keywords correspond to the module we are working in. We will refer to these as topical keywords since they correspond to the topic we are exploring over the two-week periods. Your first group of posts will be labeled under  Topic: Creative Impulse  since this is the first topic (Topic #1). Here are the topical keywords you will use through out the semester: Topic: Creative Impulse Topic: Pattern and Ornament Topic: Rhinoceros Topic: Narrative Topic: Lands...
